Asics Gel Kinsei 6 Running Shoes
Asics rebels against conventional design with its new GEL-Kinsei 6 shoe. The upgraded seamless upper construction supplies superior comfort with improved fit and durability. The premium combination of a Discreet Heel Unit and Propulsion Trusstic Technology provides a seamless fusion with the runner’s foot. With updated FluidRide Technology, the enduring cushion of the GEL-Kinsei 6 shoe ensures a lightweight experience for every journey of your run.
The upper of the Asics Gel Kinsei 6 is constructed with FluidFit technology which combines multi-directional stretch mesh with stretch reinforcements that adapt to the athlete’s foot, creating a truly customised glove-like fit. The Seamless Construction of the upper unit allows the foot to wear the shoe without socks which reduce the risk of irritation, preventing blisters and welts in the process.
Fitted with the Heel Clutching System Technology which is an exoskeletal heel counter that provides improved support and creates an improved heel fitting environment. The Gel Kinsei 6 also features discrete eyelets which are independently placed to disburse lace tension, creating a customised fitting environment and enhanced upper comfort. For those who prefer to run when it’s dark, the Kinsei 6 features 3M reflectivity to ensure visibility in low light conditions.
FluidRide 2.0 Midsole
The FluidRide 2.0 is the next generation of the technology that gives runners a springy underfoot feel. This upgrade is bouncier, so each push-off is much more propulsive, while it’s also lightweight in nature, so it won’t drag the foot down.
Fitted with various different cushioning technologies, the Gel Kinsei 6 ensures maximum comfort. With help from the ComforDry X-40 Sockliner which is a premium sockliner, featuring higher rebound properties while providing excellent moisture management and high levels of breathability. For additional comfort, the shoe has a sockliner which can be removed to accommodate a medical orthotic and the Rearfoot and Forefoot GEL Cushioning Systems. These GEL Cushioning Systems attenuates shock during impact and toe-off phases and allows movement in multiple planes as the foot transitions through the gait cycle.
The Gel Kinsei 6 are ideal for the neutral runner and with help from the Asics Impact Guidance System which is a fundamental design philosophy around which ASICS’ technical footwear is built, the aim of the I.G.S is to encourage the foot to perform in a more natural manner. It is achieved primarily by encouraging the shoe to work with the foot rather than trying to control it. The Discrete Heel Unit takes the Impact Guidance System (I.G.S) to a new level by creating Asics’ highest degree of shock attenuation and stability. Lastly, the Propulsion Trusstic Technology mimics connective tissue in the foot by creating tension as the foot enters the propulsion stage.
Developed with AHAR (Asics High Abrasion Resistant Rubber) which is a very durable layer of protection that shields the shoe from the abrasive nature of the surface. It doesn’t peel off easily and it lasts long, so the sole unit remains functioning and intact, even after long races and multiple uses. Equipped with the Asics Guidance Line which is a synthetic insert which serves as a physical separation of the midsole and outsole which decouples the tooling and helps to produce a consistent load transfer at the propulsion stage. The Guidance Line works by influencing a consistent load and motion from heel strike to toe-off. Especially critical during the flat-foot to propulsion phase when braking and acceleration forces reach their peak, the Guidance Line delivers gait efficiency and helps to reduce the likelihood of injury.
With the use of deep flex grooves, it allows the foot to move more naturally, especially the forefoot section because it’s where most of the foot’s flexibility is centered. Though the sole unit is moderately thick and robust, the foot is still able to do the toe-off phase of running quite efficiently.
