Asics GT-2000 4 LITE-SHOW PLASMAGUARD Women’s Running Shoe
You’ll never again have to cut short your run because of your shoe, thanks to the lightweight GT-2000 4. It’s the go-to women’s running shoe for taking aim at your marathon targets and it’s there for you all the way to the post-race recovery zone. It’s built to keep your foot stable, whether you’re doing a half or full marathon. It cuts the risk of chafing and blisters with a more flexible upper, and it makes every stride a stable one with a heel counter that clamps your foot in place. It won’t soak up the rain or get weighed down in wet conditions, thanks to the water-repellent PlasmaGuard.
The upper of the Asics GT-2000 4 Women’s Running Shoe is constructed with PlasmaGuard which makes the shoe resistant to rain and mud while maintaining its outstanding breathability, flexibility and lightweight. PlasmaGuard is a 3D-treatment applied in vacuum by innovative plasma technology. This high-tech plasma process uses no water and consumes a minimum of energy.
The Heel Clutching System is an exoskeletal structure that locks the rear of the foot in place and it holds onto the heel and prevents slippage or accidental shoe-removal. To provide cushioning to the shoe, it features a ComforDry Sock Liner which is a removable and replaceable insole that delivers additional cushioning to the runner. It can manage moisture well and its anti-microbial capability gives the runner a healthier and cleaner environment that’s free from odour.
The GT-2000 midsole has many features which ensure the wearer has ultimate comfort while out running. Firstly equipped with the DuoMax technology which is a higher density EVA material that helps to reduce the effect of overpronation and also enhances the normal movement of the foot. The DuoMax support also enhances stability and support, with reduced weight and increased comfort. The latest evolution in ASICS midsole technology is FluidRide which provides the ultimate combination of bounce back and cushioning properties with reduced weight and exceptional durability. This material will be found in most newer, high end models of both structured cushioning and cushioned models. Also featuring ComforDry lasting material which is a plush underfoot cushioning which provides excellent moisture management and high-level breathability.
The Asics GEL cushioning system has been the core technology of Asics’ footwear for nearly two decades. Placed within the shoe’s midsole at the key impact areas, the GEL cushioning system works in conjunction with the midsole material to attenuate the shock experienced by the foot from vertical forces in all sporting activities. During a standard run, the foot encounters vertical impact forces normally 3 to 5 times an athlete’s body weight during heel strike. The GEL cushioning system in the heel attenuates the shock from this. The Rearfoot GEL Cushioning System stabilises the foot during the first phase of the Impact Guidance System. The GEL cushioning system in the forefoot reduces the loading forced that would normally be applied as the foot moves in propulsion. The Forefoot GEL Cushioning System works in conjunction with the midsole material to reduce the shear forces and the forefoot flex grooves to accommodate the pressure as the foot rolls through the ‘line of progression’ to toe-off, the final phase of the I.G.S.
Asics Impact Guidance System technology is a system designed to meet the demands of all athletic activities and is a testament to being the leaders in technical footwear development. It is based on a three-dimensional technical design philosophy that allows the foot to perform in a more natural manner by delivering superior ride, comfort, and performance. The result is a sports shoe concept that gives the feet the opportunity to release their full potential. The IGS concept is designed to create perfect cooperation between your foot and the shoe.
Equipped with an innovative addition to the outsole, the Asics Guidance Line helps influence the foot to interact with the shoe along its ideal and natural line of progression. The Guidance Line is a synthetic insert which serves as a physical separation of the midsole and outsole which decouples the tooling and helps to produce a consistent load transfer at the propulsion stage. Part of Asics Impact Guidance System philosophy, the Guidance Line helps to ensure gait efficiency and reduce the risk of fatigue and injury. It works by influencing a consistent load and motion from heel strike to toe-off, especially critical during the flat-foot to propulsion phase when braking and acceleration forces reach their peak. The Guidance Line delivers gait efficiency and helps to reduce the likelihood of injury. The Trusstic System integrates Guidance construction for enhanced gait efficiency while providing midfoot structural integrity.
With a new blown AHAR outsole material, it delivers enhanced cushioning, durability and ride to the foot while the light AHAR sponge has high abrasion-resistant qualities for added durability, combined with a comfortable, cushioned ride.
